Job Role To provide leadership, support, motivation and mentoring to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to our Service Users: By a skilled, supported and motivated workforce In a warm, caring and safe environment Within a service that meets all regulatory, statutory, Local Authority and commissioning requirements. To sustain and enhance the Homes reputation as a leading provider of specialist complex dementia care. To support in the management of two Service Units (the Services) within necessary commercial constraints meeting the core KPIs of occupancy, fee rates and staff costs. To provide Senior Management with timely and accurate reporting of activities, events and incidents within the home. To manage the immediate direct reports within the Service teams and to give guidance to the wider team members within the services to achieve the stated goal of Alpha Health Care to enhance the quality of life of our Service Users in a warm, caring and safe environment every day. To work in the management capacity for four shifts 8am-4pm (30hrs) per week and also in the role of a Care Home Assistant Practitioner for one 12-hour shift per week (8am-8pm) Experience and Job Related Knowledge Requirements: Previous management experience is essential Knowledge of health, safety and welfare Experience of administrating drugs Maintain a wide knowledge of current nursing practices Assess own learning needs and accept responsibility for continuing education Experience of working in care industry Experience of working with the elderly Experience of working with people with complex dementia and disabilities Abilities and Aptitude Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisational skills Must be able to prioritise Ability to work as part of team and on own initiative Good IT Skills
