Controls and Instrumentation Engineer
Millingham has an exciting client in the automotive sector that is growing their team.
The company has been our fastest growing client for the past five years and is growing again due to the high demands for their testing services in ICE, Hybrid and EV Powertrains.
You will be joining a growing Project team responsible for the following:
1. Work closely with Project Engineers to deliver technical requirements on customer projects
2. Commission new testing equipment
3. Configure test cell automation systems
4. Have technical ownership of the test cell and equipment including calibration, instrumentation, health & safety sign off and fault finding and rectification
5. Provide support on internal Combustion engine, Hybrid system and Electric Powertrain projects across two sites in Milton Keynes
To succeed in this position the ideal Controls and Instrumentation Engineer will need the following:
1. Proven background in systems communications configuration set up (CAN, INCA etc.)
2. Experience in Configuration of test cell automation systems such as SierraCP Cade or National Instruments LabVIEW
3. Able to take ownership of projects from planning phase through to delivery
4. Excellent understanding of peripheral systems such as Battery simulators, Blow-by meters, Emissions analysers
5. Able to set up and use of equipment such as power analysers, oscilloscopes, emissions and particulate measurements systems
6. Experience in working closely with customers on projects
