Site Operative
Salary – £17.34 per hour
Hours – 40 hours per week, 7:30am to 4:30pm
Location – Edwin Richards Quarry, Tividale, B65 9BT
As a Site Operative at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in supporting the Site Management to ensure the site is operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental legislation. You’ll also help deliver great service to our customers and maintain good relations with the local community.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, overtime may be required with notice.

What will you be doing?
•Ensuring the site complies with health, safety, and environmental requirements
•Safely handling the import of soil and restoration materials using mobile plant that you will be trained and competent to operate
•Recording materials through GLADIS weighbridge system and collecting samples when trained
•Supporting maintenance and inspections of site infrastructure
•Inducting visitors, contractors, and temporary labour when required.
•Assisting with internal road maintenance and operational site needs
•Liaising with customers and reporting any concerns or issues to the Site Management
•Acting as an ambassador for FCC by maintaining site tidiness and engaging positively with the local community
•Following all instructions, wearing PPE, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions
•Any other duties within your abilities being trained and competent to carry out
