Walmer Site - Teaching assistants needed for our growing school
New classes opening from Summer 2025
We have an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic team at our Walmer provision. Our new building will be open from summer of 2025 and we are looking for new people to join our ever-growing team.
Hours are: 8.50am to 3.25pm Monday to Friday, term time only plus five INSET days (39 working weeks per year)
Actual Salary: KSA £19,392 inc. Special Educational Needs Allowance
The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced and highly motivated team, in a new and well-resourced environment. They will work in line with our school values to support individual pupils and classes to access learning in a purposeful and nurturing learning environment. TA positions will be based in a class team but will be required to cover in other classes when required.
We have a strong culture of promoting within and many TAs have moved into HLTA roles and then onto a pathway to become a teacher. The Beacon has strong links with the University of Buckinghamshire and we support TAs to study remotely for a BA (Hons) in Primary Education whilst alongside their paid TA role.
