JOB TITLE: QA/QC LEAD
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The QA/QC Lead will support the GEPZafiro Project, Equatorial Guinea, and be accountable to the Asset Director GEPZafiro for the project’s quality management. The role will be based at the Petrofac Bridge View office in Aberdeen.
2. The project location is Equatorial Guinea, a fabrication shop and two offshore platforms (fixed leg and FPSO). At times there will be a requirement to travel to the onshore and offshore sites.
3. There will also be a requirement to interface with the QA/QC role based at EG and facilitate Quality Management System improvements and project performance for both Operations and Brownfield Engineering project scopes.
4. Maintain the Contract Quality Management System for designated contracts.
5. Maintain and monitor the project team’s progress against the established Contract Quality Plan (CQP) or contract deliverables.
6. Provide support on all matters of quality management.
7. Liaise with client and certification bodies as required.
8. Management of the project Quality plans for both Operations and Brownfield Engineering scopes to support consistent delivery, reduction of operational risks and supporting the improvement of quality, safety and environmental management.
9. Maintain, develop and accept quality documentation and records.
10. Review and acceptance of purchase requisitions and accompanying documentation (including SDRLs, specifications and quality-related instructions).
11. Review and acceptance of subcontractor documentation.
12. Liaise with QC Inspection and participate in selected QC activities.
13. Support Supply Chain with supplier performance monitoring activities.
14. Attending project and department meetings (where required).
15. Compile management reports (where required) and developing and maintaining Quality related KPIs.
16. Provide assurance for the Management of Change (MOC) process including reviewing CPs and ensuring compliance with the established process.
17. Manage the completion of Corrective Actions related to designated projects and locations including the recording, investigation, and action management of Quality Incidents.
18. Actively participate in identifying and raising Lessons Learned, Quality Observations and Improvement opportunities.
19. Coordinate / conduct quality induction and quality awareness programs. Assist with the development and implementation of quality related initiatives.
20. Participate in the development of projects and operations audit plans.
21. Conduct assigned internal and second party audits.
22. Facilitate customer and regulatory audits at designated location(s).
23. Maintain and develop assigned GMS processes, procedures, forms etc.
24. Participate in the development and implementation of Asset Solutions quality objectives and related initiatives.
25. Support and provide input for Management Review activities.
26. Provide Quality related input to bids and tenders.
27. Provide advice and guidance on all Quality matters related to designated contracts and locations.
28. Develop strong working links within the Asset Solutions team and internal customers.
29. Actively participate in Personal and Professional Development activities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1. Degree Level Qualified in a relevant Subject or vocational qualifications at an equivalent level supported by appropriate experience.
2. Experience working in the Oil and Gas contracting Industry and within a fast-paced work environment.
3. Lead Auditor Qualification from an IRCA (or equivalent) approved training provider.
4. In depth knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001.
5. Root cause analysis training.
6. Good understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance techniques and national and international standards.
7. BOSIET (willingness to undergo training).
8. A basic understanding of technology across a range of engineering disciplines.
9. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
10. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to serve as a liaison with Operations, Brownfield Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and the wider organisation.
11. Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
12. Thorough understanding of industry standards, guidelines, and regulations.
13. Proficient with IT Computer based systems related to remote working.
14. Numerate and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
