Senior Resuscitation Officer- Regional Lead
We are looking to recruit a Senior Resuscitation Officer to lead the provision of resuscitation training and services in the West Midlands.
Taking the lead in our new regional training centre and leading the regional team will be just part of the challenges of this role. You will have oversight and monitor all activities occurring within the region; liaising with key stakeholders and being responsible for a range of key performance indicators.
You will require experience as a resuscitation officer with an appropriate, acute clinical background. You will be an advanced life support instructor in one specialty (ALS, EPALS).
Travelling to a variety of sites across the region will be a component of the role; however, we attempt to maintain a good balance across the teams, and flexibility is encouraged both from the business and staff.
Dedicated admin/management time is a component of the role. You will need to have a current driving licence.
Main duties of the job
1. To participate in designing and delivering training programmes in resuscitation practice and clinical care.
2. To be the main client contact for AtoET&S contracts within the designated geographical region.
3. Where appropriate, be a clinical member of the resuscitation team at contracted sites where agreed, and provide expertise to the team and, where necessary, lead the team to ensure the best evidenced-based care and outcome.
4. Provide professional expert advice on resuscitation attempts, policy development, training, clinical governance issues, resuscitation techniques, and equipment relating to resuscitation.
5. To maintain and develop links internally, within clinical networks, and nationally which enhance the delivery of resuscitation.

Job responsibilities
1. To be the main client contact for AtoET&S contracts within the designated geographical region.
2. Provide professional expert advice on resuscitation attempts, policy development, training, clinical governance issues, resuscitation techniques, and equipment relating to resuscitation.
3. To participate in delivering training programmes in critical care, resuscitation practice, and first aid.
4. Where appropriate, be a clinical member of the resuscitation team at contracted sites where agreed, and provide expertise to the team and, where necessary, lead the team to ensure the best evidenced-based care and outcome.
5. To maintain and develop links internally, within clinical networks, and nationally which enhance the delivery of resuscitation.
6. Undertake and support the programme of in-situ simulations across various client sites.
7. To provide line management and support the development of the regional team.
8. Lead on projects and/or research activities undertaken by the company.
9. Undertake resuscitation officer roles and leads for client sites.
10. To provide AET&S with the highest possible level of specific training and education in resuscitation as directed by AET&S.
11. Raise the profile of resuscitation issues regionally and amongst clients both within and outside the allocated region.
12. Lead the delivery of support to client sites with resuscitation governance, SoP development, risk assessment, and expert advice.
13. Lead and develop specific projects in relation to resuscitation practice, course development, or company result areas.
14. To assist with increasing market share and penetration within a specific region.
15. To lead on one national course for the company including ensuring that all relevant admin functions and processes are documented and implemented, that relevant equipment lists are current and that all supporting information is current and available when required.
16. To ensure that financial KPIs are met and that equipment is used correctly with a view to minimising damage and downtime.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Clinical qualification (NMC, HCPC, or GMC registration).
* Instructor status in one (or more) RCUK/ALSG/ERC National Course discipline: ALS, NLS, EPALS, and/or APLS.
Experience
* Extensive relevant experience in critical care/clinical emergencies.
* Able to plan, coordinate, and deliver training to different professional groups.
* Recent relevant experience as a resuscitation officer at Band 7 or above.
* Experience of marketing and business development.
