What you’ll do: To ensure adherence to the liquor licencing laws Provide a professional service of all wines, spirits, beers and other associated products to the customers using the service ensuring accurate measures and waiting time for customers should be kept to a minimum. Ensure the bar operation meets the requirements of the Client, as directed by the Mess Manager, and is in line with Company Quality Procedures. Take responsibility for all stock, cash and chits during shifts ensuring they are controlled at all times. Quality Procedures appertaining to security must be followed and also those referring to administrational and cash handling procedures. Complete consolidation sheets at the end of each shift, identifying cash and chit totals. The Mess Manager/Bar Manager must be made aware before the next shift if there is a discrepancy. Follow the cleaning rota to ensure all bar/cellar furnishings and fittings are kept up to standard with adherence to COSHH guidelines and safe methods of work at all times. Clear all dirty glasses, crockery and cutlery, etc. promptly from the bar and associated areas including the patio. Set up dining areas ready for service, functions and meetings.
