Job summary This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 MRI Training Radiographer to rotate between the Treatment Centre and QMC campus, gaining invaluable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced MRI department. You will receive structured training on state-of-the-art equipment, including the 1.5T Siemens Sola, 1.5T Philips Ingenia, and 3T Philips Elition. Across the NUH sites, there are seven MRI scanners, reflecting significant recent investment in our facilities. Our experienced team will provide comprehensive support during your training, with regular progress reviews and clear competencies to achieve. Upon successful completion of your training, you will be eligible to apply for Band 6 roles within the team as vacancies arise. Looking ahead, there are exciting plans to open a new Community Diagnostic Centre in the City Centre in 2026, offering further opportunities for professional growth and development. Key Responsibilities: Perform imaging procedures within the area of specialty, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. Maintain and continuously strive to improve radiographic standards and patient care. Safely manipulate and maneuver radiographic equipment and patients to achieve optimal imaging results. Triage workflow and patients effectively by collaborating with colleagues to maximize departmental efficiency. Conduct safety assessments, including reviewing patient suitability to enter the magnetic field using a safety questionnaire, and ensure the safety of all visitors and staff entering the scan rooms. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across all disciplines to support a collaborative work environment.
