We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. To support the organisation's growth, we have created a new opportunity for an IT Assistant to join our Oxford IT team. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options.
The Role
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring our internal IT helpdesk and responding to queries in a timely manner.
* Monitoring the use of software (e.g., Microsoft) and hardware (e.g., printers) and looking for ways to improve our existing systems.
* Training and assisting with IT inductions for new starters.
* Liaising with third-party suppliers.
* Ordering and setting up new and replacement IT equipment.
* Updating technology and tools to ensure the latest products, documents, and relevant software are accessible and communicating prospective changes to employees.
* This role will require occasional travel to other offices.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* 1 year of relevant work experience would be great, but is not essential.
* A minimum of 3 A-levels at grades A to C (or equivalent).
* A university degree with a 2:1 or above is desired but is not essential.
* A strong aptitude for IT and able to pick up new tech quickly.
* Super organised, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Able to prioritise workload effectively and work in a flexible manner.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
* A self-starter with a high level of resilience.
* Demonstrates a strong team spirit but also very effective working independently.
* A positive can-do attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop.
