The Team/Department
We are looking for a Workday Finance Functional Specialist to join our ERP team to help us with ongoing support and change initiatives with our Workday ERP system.
As a successful Workday Finance Functional Specialist, you will be working within the ERP Product Group DevOps team within our DTI division. Collaborating with the ERP Product Group and key business owners and SMEs, you will be responsible for the delivery of improvements to existing Workday systems and Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations. Additionally, the identification of new opportunities for leveraging the functionality available within Workday Cloud service offerings.
What will you be doing?
* Provide Development and BAU Workday support for Finance, covering core Financials, Revenue Management, Projects, Procurement, Suppliers, Expenses, Time Tracking, Customers, Financial Accounting, Tax, and Adaptive Planning
* Manage the daily administration, maintenance, releases, and support activities for Workday. Contribute to the ERP Product Group team to support the development of a comprehensive DevOps model for end users
* Design and maintain system configurations, including Organisation structures, Custom Organisations, Playgroups, and Security
* Test, validate, and implement Business Process changes
* Produce detailed functional and non-functional requirements, aligned to best practice standards and agreed acceptance criteria
* Conduct quality assurance and review of artefacts (configuration changes) created by internal teams to ensure the delivered solution meets business and non-functional requirements while adhering to technical designs
* Oversee Agile backlog management, ensuring requirements and designs are mapped into releases effectively
* Maintain integrations of key interfaces with Workday through automated/scheduled tasks and manual data imports
* Ensure traceability of technical requirements and functional specifications by designing and executing test phases, enabling successful outcomes within a DevOps model
* Build credibility and strong relationships with stakeholders to support business needs and identify new opportunities through deep product knowledge

Minimum
* Extensive hands-on experience with Workday Finance, including all project lifecycle phases, complex implementations, and functional configuration expertise
* Experience producing project deliverables (business requirements, functional specs, configuration documents, process flows, use cases, requirements traceability matrices, etc)
* Experience of working within a corporate or government IT environment that uses Workday technologies
Essential
* Excellent communication skills for presentations, workshops, and business reporting
* Strong stakeholder management, engaging with all business levels
* Workday specialist training in Finance and Integrations Fundamentals, with a Workday Pro Track qualification being highly advantageous
* Experience with formal development methodologies (e.g. Prince2, RUP, Scrum, Agile) is preferable
* Experience with integrating between Workday and other IT Systems e.g. Adaptive Planning, Salesforce, Clarizen is highly desirable
