It is an exciting time for us and we continually striveto improve our business performance. Our Production Operatives (PO)are a huge part of our operation and work across every area of theplant undertaking a variety of crucial tasks to maintain our highstandards. You will be part of a busy team who are committed to thePepsiCo brand. In joining this team you will be supported in yourrole via a team of co-ordinators and you will be responsible forthe performance of your zone using our LEAN Manufacturingframework.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
* To operate effectively, one of our foodpacking lines, as part of a small lineteam
* Carry out and record all quality checks at specifiedintervals, (escalating anynon-conformances)
* To carry out all sanitation & CRPtasks to the required standard & Complete all paperworkin a timely and accurate fashion to ensure fulltraceability,
* To maintain a Safe, Healthy andhygienic work place. Work safely and improve safety through plantsystems. (Near Misses and Food Safety NearMisses),
* Drive the plant key performanceindicator (KPI) targets of cost, quality, service, hygiene andsafety,
* Take responsibility and ownership for the zone that youwork in and the plant in general. This includes good housekeeping,hygiene, and 5s / lean standards & standards aremet,
* Operates using OEE data to improve cost, quality,efficiency and reducewaste,
* Use data from Lineview to understand how your machine isperforming, accounting for any stoppages by adding commentary – andinitiating root cause analysis for any gaps to standard (waste oroutput)
* Ability to work on your own and in a smallteam.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Previousexperience in food manufacturing would be desirable but notessential
* All basictraining will be provided, however, good numeric and computerskills are an advantage,
* Abilityto work well within a team environment – with good communicationskills,
* Abilityto operate machinery and carry out minor adjustments to machines ifrequired,
* Resultsfocused to ensure that all targets aremet,
* Strong communications skills,verbal and written,
* Selfmotivated and usesinitiative,
* Strongteam player who adopts continuous improvementapproach,
* Promotessafe working practices.
