If so, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Committees and Events Assistant to work in a leading London university. This is a part-time role with an immediate start for one month.
As a Committees and Events Assistant, you will work as a member of the Student Experience Team ensuring the efficient administration of university committees and events. This role is crucial for supporting and creating an outstanding student experience within a busy and vibrant academic community.
Committees and Events Assistant Key Responsibilities:
* Providing secretariat support for Committees, including preparation of agendas, taking minutes, and following-up on action points
* Coordinating meeting schedules, ensuring timely communication with all stakeholders and preparation and distribution of necessary documents
* Assisting with the planning, organisation, and execution of events related to student experience, such as induction programmes, open days, and extracurricular student activities. To include event logistics – venue bookings, catering arrangements etc
* Collaborating with the Communications Team to promote events and maintaining a close working relationship with the Students’ Union Presidents and members
* Supporting with administrative tasks as required including the shared inbox and addressing pending queries and responding accordingly
* Providing other ad hoc assistance as required to enhance the student experience by assisting the team and wider university
Committees and Events Assistant Key Skills:
* Administrative experience in supporting and servicing Committees and organising Events – ideally in a Higher Education setting
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
* Strong time management skills with the ability to be proactive and work flexibly whilst maintaining organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
* Highly proficient in IT– good Microsoft Office skills
