Role Description
We are looking for an experienced laboratory-based molecular biologist to contribute to the development and deployment of cutting-edge methods for detecting cancer earlier than traditional methods. Your expertise in next-generation sequencing assays, clinical diagnostic assays, and bioinformatic analysis would be highly valued in this position.
You will be part of a dynamic team at the Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London, working on pioneering research projects focused on minimally-invasive molecular diagnostics and analysis of cancer genomes. Our goal is to improve existing methods for sensitive mutation detection and explore the biophysical properties of ctDNA.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of experts, driving innovative solutions and advancements in cancer genomics and diagnostics. You will also benefit from competitive salaries (£45,000 - £50,000 per annum) and access to a generous pension scheme.
Apart from your salary, you will receive additional benefits including 30 days' leave per annum (pro-rata for part-time/fixed-term), flexible working arrangements, and campus facilities.
