About The Role: Ensure Health & Safety regulations and the company's Instructions and policies are adhered to. Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm including a 60-minute unpaid break OR Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm including a 30-minute unpaid break. Salary: Depending on experience, salary will be discussed during the interview. Roles and Responsibilities: Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner within the parameters of current health and safety legislation (HASAW Act 1974) To manage customer complaints & returns in a correct and timely manner and to ensure feedback is given and the learning's from this process are feed into production, and 8D & NC's completed. To work with the site team to ensure processes, products made, are to the correct quality and in line with the customers expectations. To improve the cost of quality through the analysis of recorded quality data, production scrap and the use of data gained from process capability studies, thus driving continuous improvement projects. To manage a register of calibrated equipment, fixtures, jigging, gauging and JIS's that are required in order to manufacture a part that meets the customer's requirements. To manage a process of new part introduction / part changes to approval thus supporting PPAP approvals and SRTD's and capability and measurement studies. If required by the company, introduce new employees into the operation training them as required. Through the appraisal process, identify areas of personal and team development required. To oversee the site quality team, ensuring they effectively perform their roles, including Production Audits, 1st OFF checks, quarantine of non-compliant products and materials, and Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) standards, while addressing escalated production and customer quality issues About you: Experienced quality professional with a background in manufacturing or production environments. Strong knowledge of quality control processes, root cause analysis, and 8D problem-solving. Proficient in ISO9001:2015 standards and quality management systems. Skilled in managing quality teams, production audits, first-off checks, and non-conformance processes. Experienced in handling customer complaints, returns, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Able to analyze quality data to reduce scrap, improve first-pass yield, and enhance overall efficiency. Committed to maintaining health and safety standards and quality documentation. Strong leadership skills with the ability to resolve production and customer quality issues effectively. Focused on reducing quality costs and improving key performance metrics (e.g., scrap costs, OEE, rework).
