QA Engineer for Lloyd's of London Insurer

We are representing an exciting opportunity with one of our prestigious clients, a leading Lloyd's of London insurer. This company is undergoing a multi-year pricing transformation and is looking to expand its team with a skilled QA Engineer to support their growing actuarial development function.
About the Role:
The QA Engineer will play a pivotal role in testing and maintaining pricing models within a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. These models are part of a cutting-edge web-based pricing tool (Renew) developed by hyperexponential, which leverages Python code and React JS UI components. As the company continues to scale, your work will directly impact the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of the pricing models that drive the company's operations.
This newly created role provides a fantastic opportunity to shape QA practices, introduce automation efficiencies, and contribute significantly to the success of a high-impact pricing transformation project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Quality Assurance & Testing: Develop and execute test cases to validate pricing models, conduct functional, regression, and performance testing, and ensure high-quality model delivery.
* Test Automation & Reporting: Maintain and enhance the test automation framework using Python, Playwright, and Azure DevOps.
* Agile & Stakeholder Management: Champion Agile best practices, facilitate sprint cycles, and communicate testing progress to relevant stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
* Essential:
o Minimum of 3 years' experience as a QA Engineer or Analyst.
o Experience in test automation with Python and Playwright (or similar frameworks).
o Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
o Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Azure DevOps).
o Agile experience with sprint management and backlog prioritization.
* Desirable:
o Experience with SaaS platforms like HX Renew.
o Knowledge of data formats such as JSON and CSV, and API testing.
o Exposure to actuarial pricing models and the insurance industry.
