Catalent Pharma Solutions have a new vacancy for a Senior Operations Team Manager to support the 24/7 Pharmaceutical Manufacturing process at the Swindon Zydis facility. The Senior Operations Team Manager position is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of designated process teams ensuring a safe and compliant environment manufacturing quality product. Leading a team operating in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment, you will need to be self-motivated and have the ability and confidence to work autonomously. This is a shift-based role (Shifts 2 days on, 2 nights on and 4 days off (12 hour days 7am – 7pm).
The Role
* You are responsible for managing the end to end manufacturing process from dispensing and mixing through to inspection, sealing and secondary packaging.
* Responsible for delivery of targets achieving KPI’s of SQDCP within your process; delivery of targets achieving KPI’s; and for ensuring you can cover key processes on shift.
* Manage and motivate your operations team to deliver their Goals and Objectives.
* Lead a Health and Safety culture within operations; ensure team consistently sets site safety best practices by demonstrating zero tolerance behaviour, continually challenging and raising Safety standards.
* Eliminate risk to the employees, products and environment through rigorous safety and accident investigations and high-quality current risk assessments.
* Lead a Compliance culture within operations; act as a role model for company quality values by continually raising standards.
* Manage the Operations Quality dashboard to meet or exceed targets, including ongoing reduction in the quantity of PR’s raised.
* Lead daily shift meetings, managing resources and ensuring issue resolution to ensure daily shift targets are achieved.
* Work collaboratively with up and down-stream customers to deliver the hourly, daily and weekly targets.
The Candidate
* Passionate and energetic with a ‘Can Do’ infectious attitude.
* Experience of leading a team and developing people.
* Actively seeks and promotes opportunities to improve, whilst also remaining focused through clear and effective prioritization.
* IT literate with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel/spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Knowledge of Pharmaceutical GMP requirements.
* Detailed understanding of change control and associated processes.
* Advanced performance management tools (e.g., Six Sigma) is advantageous.
* Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent A-C.
