Job role overview
As a Hire Desk Controller, you will coordinate the booking of operated road sweepers, coordinate schedules, whilst ensuring excellent customer service. Drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Maintain the highest levels of service delivery to our customers ensuring compliance with both company standards and statutory regulations.
Overview of the job role/profile/requirements
Service Desk administration/planning
Dealing with customers via the telephone and e mail, handling service enquiries and processing orders
Data Inputting
Planning customer service schedules
Allocating work routes
Resolving driver queries / issues by telephone and in person
General Admin tasks i.e., processing job sheets
Self-auditing & system housekeeping
Administration support to the management team
Liaise with suppliers
Liaise with other operating locations within the organisation
Try to anticipate customer needs and strive to exceed their expectations
Working to ensure the fulfilment of the company vision & policies
Qualifications / Experience of Customer / Service Delivery
Satisfactory level of education and previous experience within a fast-paced office environment, transport and or waste Management.
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to develop professional working relationships at all levels
Experience of managing administrative support.
High level of computer literacy, e.g., Office suite i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Customer Services background
Excellent organisational and delegation skills
Ability to juggle priorities
Calm under pressure
Ability to work to strict deadlines
Ability to collate data from various sources and produce statistical information with the support from the management team.
