Responsibilities
* Acquiring new skills through on-the-job training under the guidance of internal mentors
* Rotation throughout the Facilities department gaining a wide variety of skills
* Exposure to manufacturing areas to learn a wide variety of processes
* Maintaining up to date logbooks and training notes
* Working safely by observing and following all safety requirements and procedures
* Working as part of a team as well as individually with full support from our facilities department/mentors
* Learning how to work with and follow procedures/specifications
* Attending college, studying, and passing all required modules
* Satisfactorily complete relevant NVQ’s with on-site training provider
What You Will Need
* Minimum qualifications of 5 GCSE’s grade A-C including Maths, English and a Science subject.
* Further education in a science or engineering subject would be an advantage but not essential (A Level/BTEC/NVQ)
* All applicants must be over 18 before September 2025
* It is essential that applicants can demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, have good communication and interpersonal skills.
* We will also look for self-motivated individuals with a logical approach to problem solving.
* Flexibility of working hours is required.
This role will be initially 39 hours per week while training (4 days on site, 1 day in college), but experience will also be gained while working on one of our shift patterns which cover our 24/7 operation.
