About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Professional to lead procurement efforts for our client in the Defence & Aerospace sector. This pivotal role involves managing procurement for both aviation and non-aviation projects, ensuring adherence to regulations, and driving strategic sourcing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee project-related procurement of materials and components for assemblies, systems, and equipment based on defined Bills of Material (BOM).
* Conduct negotiations on quantities, prices, delivery terms, and conditions, ensuring Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is achieved.
* Research and analyze procurement markets, carry out price comparisons, and implement category management strategies.
* Manage supplier relationships, including evaluation, documentation, and complaint handling.
* Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and contractual regulations.
* Monitor budgets, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with project management for resolution.
* Support strategic procurement initiatives, including digital purchasing solutions and cross-site training programs.
* Prepare and support contracts, including framework agreements and standard contracts.
* Collaborate with internal teams such as Program Management, Engineering, and Quality Management.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Supply Chain, preferably in an aviation or complex project environment.
* Knowledge: Familiarity with contract law (BGB), supplier evaluation, and procurement tools (Orgamax, ELO, MS-Office).
* Languages: Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
* Skills:
* Strong negotiation and communication abilities at all organizational levels.
* Strategic thinker with an independent and solution-oriented approach.
* Proficiency in MS Office and digital procurement tools.
