Freightserve recruitment is looking for a Courier Customer Service / Operations Clerk for a major Freight company based in the Feltham, Middlesex area.
Key Tasks:
1. Strong communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
2. Excellent customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience, and empathy.
3. Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
4. In-depth knowledge of industry best practices.
5. Basic math and accounting skills.
6. Strong organization, time management, and prioritization abilities.
7. Ability to be discreet and maintain the security of client information.
8. Effective computer skills to use account management software efficiently.
9. Excellent knowledge of Excel, ideally with intermediate experience level, able to use pivot tables and formulas.
Skills and Competencies:
1. Customer-focused with dedication to service delivery to meet customer needs.
2. Ability to maintain a positive mindset when working under pressure, re-prioritizing workload when necessary.
3. Reliable with the ability to multitask and possess strong problem-solving skills.
4. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy.
5. Excellent IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
6. Knowledge of the freight transport industry.
7. Experience in accountancy and billing.
8. Prior experience in an accountancy environment.
9. Excel qualification to intermediate level or equivalent (not essential).
Hours are based on a Monday to Friday schedule with rotation shifts of: 0900 - 1800 / 0800 - 1700 / 0700 - 1600.
