I am excited to be working with a fantastic charity in search of an Interim Finance Manager. Are you an experienced finance professional with a background in UK charities? Do you thrive in an autonomous role and have strong knowledge of Xero? If so, we need you!
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Duration: 3 months
Start Date: Monday, 31st March
The charity
This is a small NGO, working to create impact in their sector. They need a skilled finance professional to step in and lead key finance functions while they transition.
Your Role
As Interim Finance Lead, you will ensure the smooth running of financial operations, including:
1. Setting up online bank payments for authorisation
2. Processing invoices via Xero
3. Preparing quarterly management accounts for funders
4. Leading the audit process for EAP and CoST
5. Submitting VAT returns
6. Preparing invoices and supporting documents for funders/clients
What We’re Looking For
Finance experience in a UK charity/NGO
Proficiency in Xero
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Understanding of charity finance, audits, and compliance
