Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Medical Team in the Norfolk area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assessing and treating patients within an acute medical setting, providing crucial support for their rehabilitation and recovery.
Location: Norfolk Area
Salary: £25-26 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time (Part-time applications also considered)
Start: ASAP!
This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with a range of acute medical conditions. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing patients’ needs, implementing intervention plans, and supporting their functional independence through evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients within an acute medical setting
* Develop and implement person-centred treatment plans aimed at improving functional independence
* Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals
* Provide timely discharge planning and recommendations for ongoing support or equipment needs
* Maintain accurate patient records in line with departmental and legal guidelines
* Offer education and advice to patients, carers, and families regarding rehabilitation and care strategies
Minimum Requirements:
* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
* Experience or interest in working within an acute medical environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
* A commitment to continuous professional development
