We are looking for a motivated, dedicated, and innovative individual who is eager to expand their knowledge in the field of colorectal surgery, including respiratory and vascular care, and has a passion for assessing and treating complex respiratory patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Main Duties of the Job
You will manage a highly complex caseload of patients as a specialist in colorectal and vascular care, including:
1. Progressing treatment of surgical/ICU step down patients recovering from complex colorectal procedures.
2. Management of post-operative respiratory complications.
3. Providing support for patients on the vascular ward, including amputees, during prosthetic rehabilitation.
You will be required to deliver training in your discipline and contribute to the training of other disciplines within the team. You will participate in service development, audit, and QI initiatives.
Good leadership skills and significant experience of supervising staff/students are essential. You should have demonstrable post-registration experience, ideally working at a Band 6 level, in the acute setting. Weekend working at the Royal Oldham Hospital is expected.
We focus on team development, creating a safe and supportive environment, and working to the Trust Values at all times. You will be supported by the Operational/Professional Lead, the Lead PTs, and the Lead therapists in the service and the wider Physiotherapy workforce.
