Description Student Co-Creators for Software Engineering Curriculum We are seeking enthusiastic undergraduate students from the School of Computer Science who are passionate about the future of Software Engineering Education. As a Student Co-Creator, you will collaborate/support us in evaluating and designing the Software Engineering theme of our programme that caters to students from diverse academic backgrounds. Your role will involve co-developing curriculum content that aligns with the skills demanded by graduate employers and innovative delivery methods, including peer assessments. This will be alongside a team of academics within the School of Computer Science as co-creator. Based on the project’s outcomes, you may also have the opportunity to present your findings at teaching and learning events. You will develop core employability skills: in communication, organisation and team workin Start Date: 17th February 2025 End Date: 5th July 2025 Working Hours: 25 hours Pay Rate: £12.25 per hour plus holiday pay Location: hyrbrid, to be discussed with students Dress Code: None The duties will include: Attending meetings for the project, to provide input and help steer the project. Working with other Co-Creators to devise and carry out research amongst other students in your faculty on a draft curriculum. This could include organising and delivering focus groups or surveys and producing transcriptions and reports. (Training will be provided where needed.) Evaluating and developing curriculum of software engineering. Presenting your findings at teaching and learning events and at the School’s working group in Software Engineering Curriculum. Skills and experience required for the role: Passion for Software Engineering (no matter which year – we’re looking for co-creators from as diverse backgrounds as po ssible – across years). We would like a mixture of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year undergraduates with balance of home/international students. Current University of Nottingham student in the School of Computer Science Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail. Confident and approachable manner. Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience of working in groups comprised of a variety of people from different backgrounds (desirable, but not essential).
