Experience of working with volunteers/or lived experience of being a volunteer. Experience of providing/receiving support and/or supervision. Experience of training and/or groups. Ability to understand from the perspective of all victims/survivors and embrace differences. The Appointed Volunteer & Survivors Coordinator Will Lead on the development, recruitment and supervision of all volunteers within Somerset, including the ending of placements where required. Focus on the development of volunteers and facilitating opportunities for survivor’s voices to be meaningful and heard via a variety of platforms, seeking opportunities to amplify the voices of survivors, and those who complete the behaviour change programme. Lead on the development of a survivor’s peer support group, working with all survivors to agree meetings and the best way to link together, building natural support networks across Somerset. Will work with their manager to agree what information to save, to ensure that I able to share relevant information and/or attend and/or send a report to the Domestic Abuse Board, and support survivors to attend/meet with commissioners. With my manager we will develop an effective assessment process where people are able to recognise their skills and choose to become Volunteers With my manager we will develop and maintain a system that captures the worked hours and contribution of all volunteers I will work with my line manager to produce reports and evidence of outcomes where needed I will link with colleagues, and speak with the people who use our services and listen to how they feel a volunteer could help and/or add value and support Where related to my work, I will work with colleagues to deliver awareness campaigns I will work with YOU HR to ensure all volunteers are onboarded and complete required training, and with colleagues across all domestic abuse teams to ensure that volunteers feel appropriately trained and supported within their roles I will work with all volunteers to develop a process where we utilise their feedback to quality assure our work I will offer support, guidance and supervision to all volunteers I will work with the Digital Communications Officer to capture the voice of volunteers and survivors, and how they would like to be heard, co-producing social media content I will embrace equality and diversity in the workplace and ensure that differing needs of people are addressed through ongoing feedback and client involvement I will work within YOU’s policies and procedures, reading them at induction, reviewing at regular team meetings, and raise any issues with my line manager
