Wolverhampton - Team Leader - Residential children's care
We are hiring a Team Leader for our Residential Children's Home in Derby.

What we aim to do is offer support and nurture for children and young people with emotional behaviour difficulties and help navigate through day-to-day life using the therapeutic trauma-informed PACE approach.
The role of Team Leader involves:
1. Leading shifts and supervising junior members of staff
2. Undertaking agreed, delegated management responsibilities on an ongoing basis
3. Supporting the young people’s emotional needs
4. Contributing towards maintaining a safe, warm and homely environment
5. Providing outstanding care to children while applying their individual care plans
6. Taking the children on activities
7. Liaising with families and professionals to ensure the best possible care is being provided
8. Taking a proactive approach in supporting the children with attending and engaging in their education
9. Making and maintaining accurate records of the child’s day, including any incidents that may occur
10. Carrying out general housekeeping duties, including cooking, cleaning, and completing health and safety checks
11. Applying safeguarding knowledge to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in the home
12. Complying with GDPR and Health and Safety regulations
What we are looking for from you:
1. QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (Essential)
2. Experience in a children's home setting (essential)
3. Passion to help nurture young people
4. Ability to work shift patterns including sleep ins
5. Full, UK driving licence (essential)
6. All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
What we can offer:
1. A salary of £28,080 to £30,160 per year, depending on qualifications (based on a pay rate of £13.50 to £14.50 per hour), £65 per sleep in night.
