Job Summary:
Are you a creative, detail-oriented individual with a passion for ecommerce and visual merchandising? We are looking for a Visual Merchandising Assistant to join our dynamic Ecommerce team at Boohoo. In this role, you’ll combine your eye for fashion with data-driven insights to optimise our online product presentation and drive conversions. As a Visual Merchandising Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Senior Merchandising Manager and collaborate with multiple teams, including Buying, Marketing, and Studio, to ensure the best product assortment and seamless customer journey across our UK and International websites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to optimise the visual merchandising of key categories across UK and international websites, ensuring alignment with our VM strategy.
* Analyse onsite search behaviour and make data-driven adjustments to product merchandising on search pages to improve conversions.
* Support the creation and management of an organised product taxonomy, ensuring items are correctly allocated to categories and facilitate easy product discovery on the website.
* Assist in the creation of product bundles on product pages in collaboration with the Buying & Merchandising Team.
* Use analytics tools and dashboards to monitor and enhance site search and taxonomy, focusing on merchandising slow-sellers and trending products.
* Work closely with the Trade, CRM, and Marketing teams to align visual merchandising and product placement with website campaigns and external marketing activations.
* Assist in identifying process efficiencies and developing strategies to improve team objectives.
* Actively monitor product sorting within categories and search results to ensure an optimal customer experience.
* Stay informed of competitor strategies, industry best practices, and internal data to continuously innovate and optimise the customer journey.
* Perform regular site audits to ensure a logical and engaging user experience is consistently delivered.
* Support the Senior Merchandising Manager and wider VM team with larger business projects.
Desirable Experience:
* Previous experience in visual merchandising, ideally in fashion or retail.
* A passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail.
* Strong understanding of Excel, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and manipulate data.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of innovative visual merchandising practices.
* Familiarity with Algolia / Strapi is a plus.
* Understanding of Digital KPIs (e.g., Conversion Rate, Bounce Rate, Click Rate) is advantageous.
* A degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
* A creative mind and a keen interest in keeping up with current trends.
