SEN Teaching Assistant with RWI Phonics & Speech & Language Experience

Pay Scale: £90 - £110 per day
Contract: Immediate Start - End of Academic Year
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM (Monday to Friday)
We are seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school. This role focuses on supporting children in KS1 and KS2 with special educational needs, particularly in speech and language development, while delivering Read Write Inc. (RWI) Phonics interventions.
Role Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience supporting children with SEN, especially speech and language needs, in a primary school setting.
- RWI Expertise: Confident and skilled in delivering Read Write Inc. Phonics programmes to individuals and small groups.
- Skills: Adaptability, patience, and a proactive approach to removing barriers to learning.
- Commitment: Full-time availability until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted speech and language interventions as advised by specialists.
- Facilitate RWI Phonics sessions to enhance literacy skills.
- Provide tailored support to KS1 and KS2 pupils, enabling them to access the curriculum effectively.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support.
