Job Title: Customer Service Specialist (Manufacturing) - Temp (12 Week) to Perm
Location: Bar Hill, Cambridge - ONSITE
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 4:45 PM; Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Account Specialist to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry on a Temp (12 Week) to Perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to manage customer relationships, handle order processing, and collaborate across departments to ensure seamless delivery of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers via Teams and email, understanding their business needs and providing exceptional support.
* Respond to customer queries and provide timely updates by liaising with internal departments.
* Process orders, including changes to POs, rescheduling, and raising rework, return, and repair orders.
* Collaborate with Production and Purchasing teams to address shortages, manage escalations, and ensure timely delivery.
* Update and maintain accurate systems records, including price lists, quotes, RFQs, BOMs, and drawing databases.
* Work with customer BOMs and drawings to update and create customer quotations.
* Review and update the customer order book, processing and communicating changes both internally and externally.
* Resolve day-to-day issues related to order delivery, assist with sales forecasts and job costings, and participate in production meetings.
* Assist with stock takes and audits, raising credit and debit notes as needed.
* Continuously recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Proactive, self-motivated, and a problem solver.
* High competency in Microsoft Excel (essential).
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of technical drawings and BOMs (preferred).
* Experience with SAP (preferred).
