Our client is a PE backed leading global information provider in the agrifood sector operating across multiple jurisdictions.
They are seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel at the NQ level to join their dynamic team. In this exciting role you will support the legal function and the wider business, providing commercial contract adv ice while assisting with a range of legal, corporate governance, and regulatory matters, including sanctions, disputes and intellectual property.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contract Negotiation and Review. You will negotiate on B2B commercial contracts in a time sensitive environment, particularly within SaaS, technology and data licensing.
* Regulatory and Compliance support. Advise on privacy, sanctions, disputes and intellectual property matters.
* Policy and Governance. Develop and implement company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
* Due Diligence and M&A. assist with due diligence and transactions during mergers and acquisitions.
* Legal Tech Implementation. Support the adoption of legal technology solutions to enhance efficiency.
* Legal Research and External Liaison. Conduct legal research across international jurisdictions and liaise with external law firms when necessary.
About You:
* A legal professional who has achieved your solicitors qualification (Previous in-house experience is preferable).
* Experience in contract negotiation, particularly in SaaS, tech or data licensing.
* Experience negotiating international contracts with suppliers and customers.
* Some experience with intellectual property, privacy, disputes and regulatory issues.
* Pragmatic and commercially minded with you approach to legal problem solving.
* Strong attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills.
