Job Overview:
We are currently recruiting a motivated and experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the general acute therapy team at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. The successful candidate will deliver physiotherapy services across acute medical and surgical wards, supporting patients throughout their inpatient journey and contributing to safe discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients in a general acute setting
2. Manage a varied caseload across medical and surgical inpatient wards
3. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care
4. Contribute to early mobilisation and rehabilitation efforts to optimise patient outcomes
5. Maintain accurate documentation in line with NHS standards
6. Support junior staff and students when required
Key Requirements:
1. HCPC registered Physiotherapist
2. Minimum of 6 months NHS experience, preferably in an acute setting
3. Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
5. Experience with discharge planning and multidisciplinary collaboration
