Falkirk Council operates 5 Resource Centres across the locality, providing care and support to adults in long term care, reablement and short breaks. As part of the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership, our care homes / reablement & respite services work closely with fellow professionals within a multidisciplinary team. We are looking to employ a permanent, part-time Night Senior Social Care Worker who can provide effective line management to our Night Social Care and Domestic workforce. The successful candidate will work across our 5 services, working as part of the management team to support the delivery of high-quality care and support to those in our care.

You must have experience of providing professional care and support to older people and adults with complex care needs. The candidate must have good organisational skills, experience of leading teams, communicate effectively with other professionals, families and residents, an ability to work on your own initiative and have proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities. The candidate will be experienced in the supervision and support of professional care staff and be able to manage the service overnight. This post requires an individual who can actively participate as an integral part of the Resource Centre’s management team in the development and delivery of the highest possible quality of care.
Moving and Handling training together with an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential for the post; CSS, DipSW or equivalent is desirable. You will be required to also complete Supervisory units of SVQ 4. The candidate must be able to register with the SSSC as a Supervisor in Care Home Services for older adults and hold or obtain the relevant qualification within the regulatory time scale.
You will work 13.50 hours per week which will include nights and weekends on a shift rota basis.
