Job summary We are looking for a Therapies Lead Practice Educator to work 22.5 hours per week leading on the education requirements for Therapies Your main responsibilities would be: To develop and deliver an annual training and education strategy for the Therapies Directorate to help ensure that University Hospitals Dorset (UHD), achieves its business objectives The Lead Practice Educator will lead a team of practice-based educators, coordinate and organise the student and apprentice's experience for the work-based components of study within the organisation To support the implementation of therapy apprenticeships from recruitment, induction, rotational oversight to education strategy To link with wider NHS and UHD workforce strategic directions and utilise strategic documents such as the AHP Career Educator Framework and South West Learning Environment Charter To liaise closely with the Head of Therapies, service leads and clinical leads in delivery of relevant reports To champion current trends and developments in therapies, education and practice development To contribute to the design and delivery of an annually reviewed induction and preceptorship program for new staff and learners To develop and promote professional practice through; reflection, participation on post registration courses, external working groups, attendance and participation at meetings & conferences as appropriate acting as a role model for UHD Base Location: Bournemouth or Poole Hospital Interview Date: TBC Main duties of the job Other responsibilities include: To work as the main contact for all Universities that currently have their undergraduate students onsite at UHD and to act as a student link for the undergraduates.
