Job Description
Brook Street is currently recruiting for a Payroll Officer position at an agricultural and food processing company. This role is based at the company's head office in Moira and involves supporting the payroll operations for both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Position : Payroll Officer
Responsibilities :
1. Manage payroll processes, including handling new hires, departures, statutory sick pay (SSP), statutory maternity pay (SMP), and pension auto-enrollment.
2. Generate BACS reports and ensure they are authorised within set timelines.
3. Prepare payroll reports and distribute payslips to employees.
4. Address payroll and attendance inquiries professionally and promptly.
5. Submit payroll files, pension deductions, and statutory returns on time.
6. Stay informed about HMRC/Revenue updates to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
7. Collaborate with HR teams to maintain accurate and consistent data records.
8. Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements :
9. Minimum of three years' experience in a payroll environment, handling both monthly and weekly payrolls.
10. Proficient in NI and ROI payroll legislation.
11. Strong IT skills with experience in payroll management systems.
12. High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
13. Effective time management skills to meet payroll deadlines.
14. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
15. Excellent communication skills.
16. Self-motivated with a track record of delivering excellent results.
