An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our therapy team at Nottingham Brain Injury and Neurological Care Centre. We are looking for a passionate and proactive Physiotherapy Assistant to assist in the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation under the guidance and supervision of qualified therapists.
Our Nottingham site comprises three units:
1. Millwood - Slow Stream Rehabilitation
2. Fernwood - High Dependency Neurological Care and Rehabilitation
3. Hazlewood - Neuro Residential
We provide comprehensive, patient-centred care to support residents in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

What you'll be working:
This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing:
* Support residents in their rehabilitation journey, enabling them to achieve their maximum independence.
* Participate in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of care with the multidisciplinary team.
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care and treatment plans.
* Assist with therapeutic activities, including exercises and mobility programs, as directed by physiotherapists.
* Facilitate communication and engagement in daily activities.
* Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
* Undertake tasks such as clinical observations and activity support, ensuring competency and training requirements are met.
* Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights.
What you'll have:
* NVQ Level II (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
* At least one year of experience in one of the following areas: rehabilitation, physical disability, brain injury, neuro-disability, or mental health.
* A passion for working with vulnerable adults and a commitment to improving their quality of life.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility, patience, and the ability to handle challenging situations with a calm demeanour.
* Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
