Job Advertisement: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Lancaster (Just outside of Lancaster)
Position: Part-time (2 days a week)
Days: Thursday and Friday
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will work one-on-one with a child in Key Stage 1 (KS1) who utilises a wheelchair. The primary responsibilities will include assisting the child in and out of chairs, providing support with toileting, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the school day.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those in wheelchairs, is highly desirable.
2. A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
3. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with colleagues and parents.
5. The successful candidate must either possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle or be able to reliably commute to the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
