Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Ipswich
Salary: £55k-£60k plus benefits
Are you an experienced Senior Structural Engineer ready to take the next step? Do you want to join a company well known for their international projects and award-winning engineering consultancy services?
Our client has a great reputation which is strengthened by their broad range of professionals in the team. They thrive in working closely with clients and create high standard solutions, which has resulted in them being ready to expand their team even further.
They are looking to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer in their Ipswich branch. You'll be assisting the Directors while providing solid technical advice and maintaining a high-quality service to both internal and external contacts. There will be some business development via existing and new clients, and you'll act as a Client Relationship Manager, establishing and maintaining a client base and sustainable workload based on agreed targets and using your clients and contacts to generate work for other parts of the business.
The successful candidate will also manage contracts on all delegated schemes, where liaising with clients and their representatives and attending design and site meetings will be essential. You'll prepare design solutions and manage the preparation of design calculations and drawings in accordance with the relevant design codes.
Other aspects of the role will include managing the costs and revenues on projects, complying with CDM regulations, keeping abreast of technical developments in the industry, and training and mentoring less experienced Engineers.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be a qualified Civil or Structural Engineer, chartered or near chartered with the Institute of Civil Engineers or Institute of Structural Engineers. It is important that you can showcase considerable experience in a comparable role with a bias towards development and project management.
Alongside a competitive salary, our client is also proud to offer excellent opportunities for career progression. They provide an inclusive, friendly, and flexible working environment where colleagues are encouraged to grow and develop. The ideal candidate for this role would be looking to the future and seeing themselves progress to their next Principal Structural Engineer.
