Job Overview
The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Workshop, ensuring that all customer needs are met with exceptional service and technical expertise. This role requires a hands-on approach, ability to manage staff, maintain equipment, and ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and excellent customer service skills.
Duties
1. Supervise and lead a team of technicians in the fast fit area, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
2. Maintain and assemble various automotive components using hand tools and power tools.
3. Conduct equipment repairs and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery.
5. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
6. Train staff on best practices for equipment handling, maintenance, and customer interaction.
Skills
1. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
2. Mechanical knowledge with experience in using hand tools and power tools.
3. Ability to read and interpret schematics for assembly and repair tasks.
4. Proficient in maintaining and assembling automotive components.
5. Knowledge of equipment repair techniques to ensure longevity and reliability of tools used in the workshop.
This position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks while maintaining a focus on quality service delivery and team performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £36,000.00 per year
