SHE Advisor
Location: Hull
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, plus up to 20% annual bonus opportunity
Role Overview
This role sits within the Safety, Environment, and Compliance (SEC) Team, reporting to the Head of Safety, Environment, and Compliance. The successful candidate will be required to travel to various sites across Yorkshire and Lancashire on a weekly basis.
The position offers development opportunities, with potential progression towards a Safety, Environment & Compliance Manager role.
Key Responsibilities

Provide advice and support on health, safety, environment, and compliance matters.

Conduct site audits and visits as required.
*
Instil a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring company standards and objectives are met.
*
Assist in the development of HSEQ management systems in line with legal requirements and ISO standards.
*
Maintain robust communication within the SEC team.
*
Conduct incident investigations and support insurance claims where required.
*
Carry out return-to-work, pregnancy, and modified duties risk assessments.
*
Review PQQ submissions.
*
Support the SEC Co-ordinator with electronic systems and database management.
*
Provide training support, including delivering in-house training as required.
Requirements
Essential
*
NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety, Construction, or Fire (or equivalent).
*
Experience in a health and safety-focused role.
*
Knowledge of environmental management requirements.
*
Experience working with statistical data and reporting systems.
*
Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and conducting audits.
*
Ability to produce high-quality reports for board presentations and investigations.
*
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
*
Strong communication and customer service skills.
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
*
Team player with a hands-on, flexible approach.
Desirable
*
Knowledge of HSEQ management systems and ISO standards.
*
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTLLS).
*
P405 Asbestos Management qualification (or willingness to achieve).
*
Fire Risk Assessment qualification (or willingness to achieve).
