If so, we’re looking for you to join our team We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Secondary SEN Tutor to provide personalised academic support to students with special educational needs in Basildon. Your role will be vital in helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored lessons to secondary school students with ASD and ADHD, focusing on core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science. Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Develop individualised teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents/carers and relevant professionals. Adapt teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles and abilities. Requirements: Proven experience working with students with ASD and ADHD, preferably within a secondary school or tutoring context. Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and best practices. Excellent communication, patience, and relationship-building skills. A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with additional needs. Desirable Qualifications: Teaching or tutoring qualifications (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent). Relevant SEN training or certifications. A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related subject.
