We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join our Medicines Management team at East Sussex Healthcare Trust. We are actively seeking reliable, conscientious, self-motivated individuals who have a positive, forward-thinking attitude to work as a part of the Pharmacy Clinical Team based at Conquest hospital. You will have to demonstrate self-confidence, have a reliable work history and possess mature interpersonal skills.
The Pharmacy Department provides a service to a wide range of patients with diverse needs across a range of specialities. We operate a comprehensive ward based, patient facing clinical service backed by innovative technology. You would become a valued member of the team providing this essential service and in return you will receive full training and support to facilitate your career development
You will need to be registered with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council). Ideally you should possess hospital pharmacy experience, hold a medicines management certificate and be a qualified accuracy checking technician.
Newly registered (or soon to be qualified) Pharmacy Technicians will be considered but will initially be paid at the AFC Band 4 rate. Support with your career progression will be given in accordance with our Education and Training Strategy.

To complete concise medicines reconciliations on newly admitted patients.
To complete medication counselling on current and newly prescribed medication
To order any new medication for the patient.
To complete an hour (minimum) accuracy checking slot a day.
To work with the ward teams for the benefit of patient care
