If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Network Control team has an opportunity for you to join as a DSR Controller (Distribution Service Reservoir Controller).
Your role will involve working closely with the operations team to plan out their work on critical reservoir maintenance projects. Reservoirs are key in helping store and deliver our water to all our customers; this means it is important we get caring for them right. We need to have scheduled maintenance on all our reservoir sites, which includes isolating sites safely with contingency(s) and then writing a plan to bring them back into service post-clean and remedial work without impacting our customers or network. It will be the role of the Distribution Service Reservoir Controller to work closely with stakeholders to ensure what is planned is safe, all risks have been considered, and the programme is delivered on time. The role holder will work in a team of enthusiastic controllers in our head office in Coventry.
Key accountabilities will include:
* Your main objectives will be supporting the successful delivery of the company's service reservoir & tank cleaning programmes.
* Developing risk assessments and contingency plans for scheduled reservoir maintenance projects - long and short term.
* Ensure that interventions are planned to mitigate any impact on our network or customer supplies.
* Meeting deadlines from across the business while working collaboratively with stakeholders.
* Support with the wider intervention teams’ risk and contingency workload.
* Complete training with the relevant teams.
* Support the company’s drive to improve safety standards.
* Responsible for ensuring all activities are performed in a safe and diligent manner to ensure regular feedback on issues arising before, during, and following activities that are carried out.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
To be a success in this role, we are looking for someone who has experience working for similar network-run operations. It would be beneficial to have knowledge of risk analysis and conflict management. The role also invites knowledge of systems such as mapping tools, telemetry systems, and hydraulic modelling software. However, overall, it is important the role holder is keen to learn and understand the processes this role requires to be followed.
The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity, and a caring attitude, we want to talk to you too.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences, and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We want people who show up and get involved. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?
