Our clients in the Nottingham area are looking for dynamic Children’s Residential Support Workers who can work regular day shifts to help create an environment where the young people can thrive.
The homes accommodate young people in their teens with social, emotional and behavioural needs, who you will be supporting on a flexible, seven day rolling rota which enables planning for a good work life balance.
You will need to demonstrate compassion, commitment and be resilient in the role.
You must:
* Have at least 1 year previous experience in a similar setting
* Have experience of managing challenging behaviours
* Be a driver with a full UK driving license
* Have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
* Working within the guidance of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the quality standards.
* To update care plans, risk assessments, and complete LAC reports, attend professional meetings where required to do so.
* To complete key working sessions with the young people
* Taking responsibility for the planning of the young people’s activities and ensuring that structure and routine are instilled.
