The Role
We are partnered with an exciting manufacturing company who are seeking a Chemical Engineer to provide a specialist support function to their manufacturing process. This role is responsible for overseeing chemical processes within the manufacturing process and managing relevant audit cycles.
* Oversee the integration of customer specifications, standards, and contractual requirements into the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025, NADCAP, and other relevant audits and certifications.
* Manage and maintain chemical process documentation across all divisions, including internal process specifications, data analysis, and reviews of certificates of conformity to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.
* Provide guidance, training, and performance management for team members, fostering technical talent growth and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Drive enhancements to chemical processes, materials testing instructions, and overall operational efficiency through audits, trend analysis, and collaboration on NPI projects and operational initiatives.
* Act as a technical resource for various departments, including Metallurgy, Engineering, and Planning, while liaising with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to support compliance, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in a Chemical Engineer role, preferably within a heavy manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.
* Degree educated or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of relevant compliance with ISO 17025, NADCAP, and other relevant audits and certifications.
* Demonstrated ability to partner with operational teams to drive practical, business-aligned engineering solutions.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
