Havant Academy, which is a member of the Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT), was judged 'Good' in all areas in December 2018. Our school is looking for highly motivated and committed individuals with evidence of consistently 'good' or better teaching to join our Mathematics team. Whether an ECT or experienced teacher, you will be enthusiastic, hardworking, and energetic, with the tenacity and drive to improve outcomes for all our students and help everyone achieve their potential. Work with us, and you will be part of a welcoming and motivated team. We are committed to giving you the very best opportunities to develop in your career and will provide extensive support in your role.
This role would be suitable for an ECT looking for a supportive working environment in a smaller secondary school with experienced Mathematics specialists to coach and mentor them in starting their career in the best possible way. There may be an opportunity to lead on and teach Psychology within the school.
We offer:
1. An excellent opportunity for career progression, both within the school and the Trust, as you demonstrate high-quality education in the classroom;
2. A positive and optimistic working environment focused on student progress and high standards of achievement and behaviour;
3. An ambitious leadership team with a clear vision for the school;
4. The resources and facilities to continue to improve students' progress;
5. Opportunities to further develop your Leadership Skills.
TKAT is a Disability Confident Employer and offers eligibility to purchase a Blue Light card, a Cycle to Work scheme, and the TKAT Widerwallet discount programme with a wealth of discounts. We also provide free eye tests and an Employee Assistance Programme - free and confidential advice on various subjects ranging from physical and mental health to financial help.
Please contact Ashleigh Newland on 02393 063 516 or email Ashleigh.Newland@havant-tkat.org if you would like a tour of the school. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early should we receive a significant number of applications. If you have not had any communication within 10 days of the closing date, please take this as confirmation that your application has not been successful.
