Job overview
The Clinical Research Specialist Nurse will support the research delivery team based in University Hospital of Llandough, contributing to the assessment and management of care pathways for patients and healthy volunteers in clinical trials.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
1. Support a wide variety of clinical trials across several specialities.
2. Recruit, educate, and monitor trial patients, ensuring the collection and documentation of accurate data.
3. Work with the wider research teams to manage a caseload of clinical trial participants.
4. Contribute to the efficient setup and delivery of research within the UHB.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse - Current registration with NMC
* Specialist knowledge of research legislation, GCP, and National Framework and/or extensive clinical experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
Experience
* Evidence of previous patient/client and Multi Disciplinary Team contact
* Experience of undertaking clinical research and/or extensive clinical experience in a specific area
* Excellent written, verbal, and organisational skills
Aptitude and abilities
* Ability to communicate complex information to patients/carers/members of MDT
* Enthusiastic and able to motivate others
* Able to prioritise workload and work autonomously
