As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to financial reporting across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Reporting Accountant to join our Shared Services Finance team.
This is a hybrid role, requiring a mix of remote work and an on-site presence at either our Brackley or Hereford site.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic data-driven environment collaborating with teams with varying levels of financial understanding. As Reporting Accountant, you’ll be working Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30.
What will you be doing as a Reporting Accountant at Avara?
As a Reporting Accountant, you’ll be responsible for preparing, analysing and presenting financial reports, identifying trends and understanding movements, in turn supporting management decision making and helping drive business strategy.
What will your key responsibilities as Reporting Accountant include?
* Generating reports, understanding financial performance and presenting the findings to multiple internal stakeholders.
* Supporting month-end reporting by collating variances across all areas of the business and comparing against forecasts.
* Shared service cost reporting - understanding spend by area vs budget/forecast and targeted savings.
* Inflationary cost and recovery reporting including all elements of inflationary forecasting and actual trends.
* Identifying overall trends and insights to drive business improvements.
* Support the Head of Supply Chain Finance and Commercial Business Partner with reporting requirements and forecast movements.
* Automating and optimising reporting processes where possible through the use of tools such as Excel, Oracle FDI, or BI platforms.
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
* Working with the central finance team to understand spend by area vs budget.
What you’ll need to be successful:
* Qualified or part qualified CIMA/ACCA working towards a professional qualification.
* A strong business acumen to distil complex data into clear, concise and actionable reports.
* Experience in a similar role such as management reporting, financial analysis, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* The ability to convey and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
* Confidence in your ability to exert influence and advise business strategy, backed by data trends.
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to think strategically to support business objectives.
* Knowledge of Oracle and Oracle FDI extremely beneficial.
* Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
