We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Procurement Manager with substantial experience in end-to-end and post-contract procurement within an infrastructure or construction setting, particularly with NEC 3/4 contracts. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to achieve cost-effective solutions and sustainable business models. Managing the supplier base is a key component, including overseeing supplier classifications and ensuring a preferred supplier list to drive competition.
You will engage in business intelligence, benchmarking, and conducting supplier market analysis to guide category development and provide actionable insights. Working closely with the Principal Category Manager and the Category Team, you will secure cost reductions, oversee contract management, and ensure continuity within the supply chain. This role requires SC or CTC security clearance; therefore, you must meet eligibility requirements and be prepared to undergo the necessary clearance checks.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop, implement and drive Category Strategy for a complex group of categories
Oversee the execution of the end to end strategic sourcing process for all complex and high value Procurements within the categories in the group
Ensure Supplier Relationship Management for key suppliers
Develop and sign off Supplier Strategies with the objective of minimising risk and maximising value.
Act as Sourcing Business Partner for certain areas of the business
Use category expertise and external markets insights, to proactively propose alternative or innovative 3rd party solutions to senior and executive level stakeholders to anticipate issues before they arise.
Develop the Category Team and drive a high-performance culture
Drive Supply Chain Management transformation.
Key requirements:
End-to-End and Post Contract Procurement Experience within an infrastructure / construction environment
Experience of NEC 3/4 contracts
Team management experience
