Payroll Manager | £35,000 - £38,000 + Bonus | Preston + Hybrid | Exceptional Benefits | Growing Business
Axon Moore are exclusively recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Manager on behalf of an industry-leading business in Preston to lead their payroll function and take on a fully autonomous role offering end-to-end exposure and exceptional staff benefits.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. End-to-end payroll
2. Management of pension scheme
3. Gender Pay Gap reporting
4. Implement current HMRC guidance and keep up to date with future legislation
5. Maintain reporting to HMRC
6. Produce and develop reconciliation files to ensure accurate production of payroll and efficient review
7. Manage post-payroll processing queries
8. Reconcile payroll balance sheet control accounts
9. Produce and post payroll journals
10. Liaise with audit team to answer payroll specific queries
11. Support with roll out of new schemes
12. Provide ad-hoc project management and delivery
13. Other ad-hoc duties
Required Skills and Experience:
1. CIPP Qualified (desired)
2. Great attention to detail
3. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
4. Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities
5. Good Microsoft Excel and systems knowledge
6. Able to quickly adapt to change
7. Work efficiently towards meeting deadlines
