You will be joining a forward-looking niche subcontractor in the Midlands that focuses on Engineering, Utility & Land Surveying in the UK. They have previously worked on projects such as HS2, Silvertown, British Library, major airports, and Hinckley Point C. My client works collaboratively to successfully develop innovative solutions to provide Computer Aided Design (CAD), Geographical Information System (GIS), and Building Information Modelling (BIM). As they are now expanding rapidly, they are looking for a Setting Out Engineer.
Your new role
As Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, working with survey methods such as total stations, GNSS, and data collectors. Along with survey controls, you will be setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing, and performing other land surveying work. Additionally, you will resolve any issues that may arise, record data to the agreed specification and scope, and maintain client relationships to deliver client expectations.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have a flexible and positive attitude, excellent planning and organisational skills, and the ability to learn new software and processes. It is desirable that you are RICS/ICES qualified, have a university degree in a survey-related field, and are a CSCS card holder.
